What Your Cereal Says About You

13 Aug

For the past two weeks, our intern coordinators have been interviewing candidates for Profiles’ fall internship program. As we were discussing interesting questions to ask potential interns, I got to thinking about the strangest question I was ever asked during an interview – “If you were a box of cereal, what flavor would you be and why?” Which leads me to this blog post. Ever wonder what flavor of cereal each Profiles employee would be and why? I took the opportunity to interview my colleagues and received some interesting responses.

NOTE: Our President and Vice President both came up with the same response. Can you tell that they have been working together for years?

Amy Elias (President) Life cereal – need I say more?

Amy Burke Friedman (Vice President): Life cereal, too – and not because I’m a square! I’d like to think I am: “Wholesome with just the right touch of sweetness, Quaker Life Cereal is a healthy, delicious choice for everyone.” It’s not wild and crazy (like Fruit Loops or Lucky Charms). You always know what you’re going to get with each piece — it’s dependable that way…like me!

Jamie Watt Arnold (Vice President): Captain Crunch because I’m the Captain and I make it happen!

Shelly May (Account Executive): Frosted Flakes because I’m ggggrrrrrreat!

Erin Culloty (Junior Account Executive): Lucky Charms because I’m Irish (if you couldn’t tell by my name) and I love the marshmallows.

Christina Camba (Junior Account Executive): Fruit Loops – because I have a bright and colorful personality.

And me (Marianne Ortiz, Senior Account Manager), I’d be Honey Bunches of Oats because I’d like to think that I am a little bit sweet and a little bit nutty. Plus, as their ads go “What’s not to love?”

If you were a type of cereal, what would you be? We’d love to see your responses!
